Axios reported on external AI agents accessing US bank accounts, including customers authorising agents to use their credentials without banks approving that access method.
The evidence remains disputed and unverified. Axios reports Morgan Stanley had not observed unauthorised autonomous AI agents on its platforms. Reuters, which relayed the report at 09:17 UTC, said it had not independently verified it. This is not a confirmed cyberattack.
