REPORTED DEVELOPMENT

ServiceNow published a customer case describing the use of its Customer Service Management platform by Bundesliga Media.

The organisation consolidated fan-service interactions across seven digital channels into a common operational environment.

According to the announcement, 89% of fan enquiries are resolved at first contact, while the number of newly created customer-service cases has fallen by more than 50% compared with the previous season.

The operating model combines centralised knowledge resources, automated responses to recurrent enquiries and AI-assisted support for more complex cases.

The system had been implemented in August 2026.

The performance figures are reported through ServiceNow's corporate announcement and attributed to its customer. They do not establish independently audited financial returns or isolate the causal contribution of generative AI.

WHY IT MATTERS TO THE MARKET

The case demonstrates how integration across customer-contact channels, knowledge resources and workflow systems can change service operations.

For consumer brands, retailers and hospitality businesses, comparable initiatives may affect service capacity, response consistency and customer experience.

Economic evaluation requires attention to enquiry volumes, channel mix, service quality, staffing costs and the comparability of measurement periods.
