REPORTED DEVELOPMENT

Freehand announced Freehand Pay, an extension of its invoice audit offering into approved payment execution and reconciliation using Stripe infrastructure.

The company reports that selected customers involved in development saw accounts-payable cycle times reduced by 80–90% and that agents handled 99% of underlying decisions. These are supplier-reported results rather than independently verified economic returns.

An agent-assisted payment workflow still depends on who can authorise transactions, what actions can be executed and how exceptions and reconciliations are controlled.

WHY IT MATTERS TO THE MARKET

The shift from AI recommendations to financial execution changes the risk boundary. Authorisation, segregation of duties, auditability and exception handling become as important as time saved in processing invoices.
