REPORTED DEVELOPMENT
Glean announced general availability of Headless Agent Building, allowing agents to be created, tested and published from Codex, Claude Code and Cursor. Configuration and instruction files can be versioned with Git and deployed into Glean's managed runtime.
Glean says these agents use the same enterprise knowledge, permissions and audit systems as its visual environment. Documentation currently limits support to Auto mode, excluding Workflow mode. Building uses the Glean plugin and dedicated /glean_run command ($glean_run in Codex), rather than a substitute MCP-server call.
Control effectiveness, commercial terms, operating costs and economic returns remain independently unverified. This is distinct from the earlier Glean for Data Analysis announcement.
WHY IT MATTERS TO THE MARKET
Agent versioning, operation authorisation, source governance, verifiable execution and measured outcomes are different capabilities. Git, permissions and audit records do not automatically resolve source conflicts or ensure correct decisions.
