REPORTED DEVELOPMENT
Hermès published third-quarter and nine-month figures at 08:00 CEST. Quarterly revenue reached €4.096 billion, up 4.3% at constant currencies; nine-month revenue was €12.260 billion, up 5.5%.
Third-quarter Leather Goods & Saddlery grew 10.8%, Ready-to-wear & Accessories declined 2.0%, and Silk & Textiles grew 1.4%. The Americas grew 8.8%, Europe excluding France 9.5%, and Asia-Pacific excluding Japan was flat, all at constant currencies.
Ready-to-wear & Accessories also includes footwear and other accessories, so the result does not establish a decline in clothing or knitwear alone.
WHY IT MATTERS TO THE MARKET
The 12.8-percentage-point gap between leather goods and ready-to-wear/accessories supports separate analysis of categories, assortments, markets and distribution. Product development, merchandising, industrialisation and commercial performance should be connected in diagnosis. These are sector economic references, not evidence of technology ROI or AI-driven revenue changes.
MARKET EVIDENCE
SOURCE-LINKED INDICATORSOperating performance is uneven across product families even when the luxury group reports growth overall.
Category-level trends change the reading of design investments, capacity decisions and product development timing; a single luxury-market temperature is insufficient.
Brand categories have different supply dynamics, comparables and product economics. The group release does not provide a causal explanation for their divergence.
