REPORTED DEVELOPMENT
Manhattan Associates announced that Finnish retailer Kesko selected Manhattan Active Warehouse to replace its warehouse management system.
The initial project covers five distribution centres, with further extensions planned. Kesko also intends to introduce AI agents to assist with warehouse coordination, workforce management and employee workflows.
The announced selection is confirmed as a commercial development; deployment completion and independently measured benefits have not been established.
WHY IT MATTERS TO THE MARKET
Warehouse modernisation and agentic AI should be evaluated separately. Operating results will depend on integration, process redesign, workforce adoption and the incremental value delivered by AI beyond the core WMS replacement.
