REPORTED DEVELOPMENT
Tulip published examples of manufacturing digitalisation involving Richemont and Tiffany & Co. during its 2026 Groundbreaker Awards programme.
According to Tulip, Richemont has developed a multi-site implementation connecting manufacturing operations with SAP systems across several maisons and industrial entities.
The programme reportedly supports more than 2,500 operators and involves production, logistics, quality, traceability and operational data capture.
The participating organisations include Cartier, Montblanc, IWC, Val Fleurier, Varinor and Van Cleef & Arpels.
Tulip also described Tiffany & Co.'s use of standardised digital applications for manufacturing processes, new product integration and production management, alongside selected AI-related experimentation.
These examples come from Tulip's own customer-recognition materials. The underlying operational and financial benefits have not been independently audited.
WHY IT MATTERS TO THE MARKET
Luxury manufacturing increasingly requires digital systems capable of connecting artisanal expertise, product development, quality management and enterprise infrastructure.
These examples illustrate how shared operational standards can coexist with requirements specific to individual manufacturing sites and maisons.
The commercial relevance extends to traceability, production visibility, process consistency and the integration of specialised manufacturing activities with ERP systems.
