REPORTED DEVELOPMENT
SAP reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of €10.27 billion, up 13% year on year at current currencies. Cloud revenue reached €6.67 billion, up 26%, while current cloud backlog rose 28% to €24.14 billion. SAP describes the statement as preliminary and unaudited and notes that cloud revenue benefited partly from items relating to prior periods.
In its customer highlights, SAP lists Decathlon among buyers of AI and data solutions, DOUGLAS Group among new customer wins across its portfolio, and HUGO BOSS among companies that went live on SAP solutions during the quarter. Those categories describe different commercial stages and cannot be treated as equivalent deployments.
The announcement does not establish that HUGO BOSS deployed a particular AI agent, or that the named customers have independently verified financial returns from SAP technology.
WHY IT MATTERS TO THE MARKET
Investment in cloud ERP, enterprise data and AI is becoming relevant to retail operations, inventory, customer processes and governance. For buyers, it remains essential to distinguish a vendor's sales, a customer selection, a completed implementation and measurable operating performance.
