REPORTED DEVELOPMENT
SentinelOne unveiled Singularity Agentic Detection and Response (ADR), an offering intended to bring agent discovery, permission controls, activity monitoring and incident response into one security environment. The company describes tracing activity from a user request through an agent and its connected tools to the action performed.
The announced capabilities include agent and MCP inventories, detection of deviations from intended activity, and targeted containment of an agent without stopping an entire workflow. The product was introduced in early access, not general availability.
These functions are vendor claims. Their effectiveness, operational costs and false-positive rates have not been established through independent testing in the cited announcement.
WHY IT MATTERS TO THE MARKET
Enterprise AI governance is expanding beyond controlling which models employees can use to supervising the actions performed by agents with real system permissions. Companies procuring these tools will need to assess monitoring coverage, enforceable restrictions, evidence retention and operational recovery.
