Zoom introduced Unified Context Layer connecting meeting, telephone and business-conversation information with enterprise documents and operating systems. It declares agentic search across over 40 external applications, Search and Ask APIs, and Decisions APIs that assess information against predefined criteria and return structured results already available.
Starting Zoom workflows directly from Claude and Codex is planned for November; other My Notes functions have later dates. This context and API development is distinct from earlier Zoom-agent security controls.
WHY IT MATTERS TO THE MARKET
External agents can access conversational knowledge as well as documents. Discussed information, proposed decisions, authorised decisions, prevailing sources, current versions and completed actions remain different. A Decisions API does not itself establish source precedence, canonical conflict resolution or decision accountability.
